Hello, dear friends!
I keep scanning the news for more bad tidings, but there don't seem to be any. (Trump and his team seem to be planning to sabotage the election once again, but I don't see much that we can do. Meanwhile, a lot of voters, both Dem and Gop are getting a little tired of these shenanigans, and lots of Republican downballot candidates will hopefully not join with shady saboteurs.) All the news is positive; Trump seems to be in a terrible funk, and Kamala Harris seems to be ebullient and upbeat, and Walz is striking the perfect tone.
Meanwhile, I'm running out of stories to read; I've read my own stories so often, I find myself skipping most of the chapters, to get to the good ones!
I realized that Yraid is the closest thing to a humorous story I have written, but even that gets serious now and then. Oh wait, Little John Finds a Friend is a funny story! Concerto has funny episodes, but is basically serious. (I'm a little sorry that I could not—or just did not—find a happy ending for Sita's friend Vicky, who accompanied her to her treatment clinic. I guess Melanie could be the best solution for her ... )
Tommy, Helen's step sister, had a crush on an internet porn star from the Czech Republic, named Sofia. Somewhere along the line, I took out almost all the stories about this Czech chick; as a result, some of the parts of Little John don't make a lot of sense. It might be time to put some of the Sofia stories together. I have so little energy, every little thing looks like a huge project...
